HRH The Duke of York at Kick Start Kent Event

HRH The Duke of York Meets Logic PM Apprentice

HRH The Duke of York met with apprentices in Kent today, including our very own Chris Dembrey. Prince Andrew is backing a Kent Messenger Group campaign to encourage businesses in the area to take on apprentices. The Kick Start Kent campaign aims to get 50 companies in the county to hire an apprentice in 2014.  Chris (pictured above) was delighted to give a speech at the event and to meet Prince Andrew. Chris had the chance to speak with The Duke of York about his experience as an apprentice here at Logic PM as well as discussing career progression and apprenticeships as an alternative to university.

At Logic PM, we believe that apprenticeship schemes offer young people a real alternative to university. Apprentices can gain valuable experience, knowledge and training in a real working environment and make business connections in their chosen field. Apprenticeship schemes are also becoming increasingly appealing to young people as they offer the chance to earn money as they learn rather than starting their career with a debt from university fees.
HRH The Duke of York met employers and young people more than 50 local companies who have benefited from apprenticeships at a reception hosted by the KM Group at Maidstone Museum. We are proud to be a part of the apprenticeship scheme and would encourage other businesses in the county to consider taking on an apprentice.

On a final note, comments from Chris: "I would most certainly recommend an apprenticeship program to both employees and employers alike. The program is beneficial to both parties as an apprentice gets the opportunity to learn and progress and an employer gets the chance to tailor an apprentice to their business, ensuring that they understand their way of working and thinking as well as their individual business practices and policies. I believe that these programs are likely to increase in popularity among both employers and employees in the very near future. I feel proud to be a part of an apprenticeship scheme and would like to thank Logic PM for the training and support they have given me so far."
